This AI Art Gallery is a hybrid art project. It involves digging through mostly archival images, carefully cropping and enhancing the image then feeding it through an AI imaging application (Mage in most cases).
The first labelled “mononcles & matantes” (french-canadian for “my aunts and uncles”) is a tribute to the surviving sons and daughters of my grand-father’s children.
The “Dearly Departed” group showcases those relatives, on my mother’s side, who have left us. Trigger warning: images of relatives who have passed away can trigger a strong emotional reaction. I imagined them as if they carried on with their existence in the “Multiverse = Quantum Many Worlds” theory which considers that there may be infinite universes each of which is a slightly different version of the one we currently experience. For instance, there would be a universe where your uncle did not die in WW 2 and one in which he did.
The “Self-referencing” project is me using my close family members as guinea pig as I explore the boundaries of art and Artificial Intelligence.
Finally, the “Experiment” is where I stick everything else and the Harry Potter is my immediate family, as imagined by J.K. Rowling.
